The cabin is a log cabin with that charming rustic Alaskan style and is quite livable in summer. It comes with most appliances, a range, 2 washers, TV and microwave. Measuring 32'x32' the cabin has a loft, a bedroom downstairs, running water and hot water for the shower with a small instant hot water heater. The cabin is gravity fed with fresh water from the property. It has a wood stove for heat and was built around 2002. The home is new, built in 2022 and appears well done with quality materials on a solid concrete slab foundation on a rock pad. The 1700 gallon septic is new as are the quality windows, doors, plumbing, electrical and the insulation. It is 2 stories with a loft, a vaulted ceiling and big wooden beams. Follow the 3 bedroom, 2 bath plan or finish to your tastes and needs, it is off to a great start with the hardest work done for you, move into the cabin and finish the house at your leisure! The property offers excellent privacy, no neighbors can be seen. The State dock with a fuel station is about 5 minutes by car down the road. There is excellent hunting and fishing in this area, but if you don't feel like getting in the boat, the pond next to the house is full of trout! Unfinished homes are usually not financeable or they require special financing but seller financing may be considered with a very substantial down (eg, 50%+). Edna Bay is a very small town (approx. 50-70 residents) on an island. It has a corner store and a school that is not currently open as the families that live there homeschool. Access is via your own boat from Prince of Wales Island (Naukati is the easiest town to leave from) or you can fly in on the mail planes which come twice a week. Access is highly weather dependent and DIY and boat skills are strongly advised if you wish to live in this area. This is not the suburbs, it is about as wild and remote as it gets! To move here you need to transport goods by boat, plane or a landing craft can be hired from Prince of Wales Island for bigger loads. However if you are up to the challenge, it is an amazing spot for fishing, whale watching, kayaking or simply enjoying nature and watching wildlife.
