- Do not use too many search options. It is easy to miss out on the perfect property if you make your searches too restrictive. For example, if you need 4 bedrooms and made that a requirement you might miss out on your dream home that has 3 bedrooms and a den that could be used as a bedroom.
- Acreage. The majority of properties are less than an acre, so a common search might be .20 which would include lots that are aproximately a quarter acre or larger. Most half acre communities have lot sizes that start around .40 while many subdivsions that are considered acre lot subdivisions have homesites that start around .90. In summary, if an acre lot is important to you, then you would probably want to put .90 in your search so yo would not miss out on the commonly construed acre subdivions.
