The former Gunsight Mountain Lodge has been used privately as a cabin for the last several years by the present owner. The main house has two finished bedrooms, a utility room, a functional bathroom with a composting toilet. A great living room, updated kitchen and dining area. These areas are heated with a Toyo monitor and a wood burning stove. The rest of the main house is not completed inside however it could house several more bedrooms, rec rooms, etc. and has an unfinished bathroom. There are many possibilities with how the rest of the main house can be finished out to serve many uses. The dwelling is served with domestic water by water delivery and the water is stored in a large holding tank located inside the main house. The present owners haul their water from Palmer and use Palmer City Water because it is free and also is treated so algae does not grow in the holding tank. There is a 600 ft well onsite, however after an earthquake several years ago the well no longer worked. This could be because it came disconnected from the main house or because the water table changed. The present owners were hauling water anyway and so they didn't look into it further. The well was said to have been salty which is common for wells this deep. The well should be inspected by a professional to determine if it can be used for other domestic uses besides cooking. There are water delivery services available (common for the area) for the potential Buyer who doesn't want to haul their own water. There is an old septic system that could be utilized, however the present owners found the composting toilet to work well for their needs without having the expense of upgrading the system. The condition of the septic system is unknown. There is a 1560 sq.ft. motel style building on site that has been renovated into 4 large motel rooms.
