Owner is currently renting the cabins out for recreational use under the named Henry's Alaska Cabins. (A fellow named "Henry" used to own the property) The business name goes with the property, so if you want a cabin rental this is a turn key property complete with signs. Rental demand has been strong and folks really seem to enjoy getting off the main highway for the quite and seclusion this place has to offer. And, it is less than four miles back to the main road. The cabins are also located conveniently between Homer and Soldotna, allowing renters to fish for Halibut in Homer, King Salmon in the Anchor River, and access Salmon Fishing at Deep Creek and the Kasilof River without spending hours driving. And don't forget about all the hunters who come visit Alaska! Moose hunters are a great way to extend the rental season well into September. Early spring bear hunters are a great way to get the cabins off to an early start in the spring! And the water lines are insulated so it would be possible to cater to caribou hills snowmachiners in the winter, however extra skirting would need to be put in place to keep pipes from freezing up. The huge amount of acreage gives this property many advantages over smaller lots with rental cabins. One is the almost unlimited ability to expand and build new cabins, without worry of becoming crowded. Behind the where the current cabins are is a nice little valley with a ridge running on each side of it and a small stream down the middle. This would be an excellent location for additional cabins. The property is also ideal moose habitat and offers visitors many opportunities to see wildlife. Of the four dry cabins, three were built in 2017 and finished out with T&G. The fourth dry cabin is about 10 years old but still in good condition. The main cabin, and the new cabin sit on concrete blocks. Portable propane heat for the 4 cabins, woodstove for the main cabin, and portable propane and electric heat for the 24x24 cabin. All structures have electric but it's off-grid, run with a generator. The generator is wired to power the whole facility and is a Honday 3000 hybrid. Using less than 3 gallons of gas every 20 hours it is an affordable, easy way to provide adequate electric. The well pump has just been replaced as of June 2018. The new pump runs on 110 so it can be conveniently powered with almost any generator. The generator currently in use, which is included with the property, is able to run the well pump and every other electrical device on the property all powered on at the same time. Current owner is selling the property not because of lack of rentals or because he is tired of the property, but rather because of an expected family addition coming soon. He really enjoys the property and is sad to see it go. Also includes a chicken coop!
